WCF RIA was a big and essential part of LightSwitch. We primarily use LightSwitch as a rapid way of building HTML 5 clients that communicate via WCF RIA with database and other services. It is a great combination.
Are there any reasons you're aware of that would stop OpenRIA working with LightSwitch? I have had no luck yet.
I create an Open RIA class library in a second project to my solution and provide the reference to the LightSwitch project but LightSwitch does not recognize any RIA services in the "Add Data Source" wizard->WCF RIA.
With the changes to WCF RIA support in VS 2013 it feels like LightSwitch has been put on hold just as it was getting interesting.
I have reached out to the Lightswitch team in the past but I didn't get much interest back from them. I have no\t used Lightswitch myself so I am not sure what is needed to make it work.
Thanks Colin, for your answer and all the good work you do. I'll try pinging the LS team directly.
