Figured it out; by adding the ReadOnlyAttribute(true) and the  EditableAttribute(true) the property I was able to achieve the desired affect.

How would I go about marking certain Entity Properties as non-trackable, i.e. in the generated code on the client side, I want to allow the properties to change, but I don't want to save those changes or flag that the context has changed.  There was some post http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5625581/how-can-i-prevent-ria-service-change-tracking-for-certain-fields which does not seem to work; the [Exclude] attribute removes the property all together from code generation.
