I would like to know if using RIA Services in a SPA is something that's possible. It would be nice for people who have invested time setting up our RIA services to leverage that investment in a SPA.

Thanks,

The official javascript client for Open RIA Services is BreezeJS which is used by many SPA frameworks such as Hot Towel. That will become available as part of Branch 5 of Open RIA Services. I do not have a timeframe yet.

Thanks for the info. I am really excited about the direction you are taking ORS. I am familiar with Hot Towel. I can see us using that very pattern to implement an html client. It's as close as we can get to the awesomeness that is Silverlight. John Papa's starter application included manually creating the domaincontext.js and the model.js for the client side. Is this something we could generate using Open Ria Services? Or am I dreaming. :)

Thanks again for everything!

Sorry, missed your second question. Yes, it would be possible to generate domaincontext.js and model.js but I am not the one who should implement that functionality as I would just be guessing at what people need. The current code generator is capable of using T4. If someone could write a T4 template that can generate a domaincontext.js and model.js using TypeScript that would be pretty cool.

Awesome....thanks for the update. Well at least I know it is possible and what it would look like in its final form.  Maybe John Papa would be interested in helping when the time comes. It would be nice to know how many people are out there are using RIA services but want to transition into an HTML SPA. Thanks again!
