Hi,

i am using Ria services at the moment , and have a domaindatasource with some filterdescriptors

is it possible to set multi property path for a filter, let's say that  ia have a textbox and i want to show the matching records with
Name Or Email Or Adress

I don't think so, I think the filters are AND only. However, I don't use the DomainDataSource myself and it is only included in Open RIA Services for legacy reasons.

I have a bit.ly bundle at http://bit.ly/pgL97k that takes you through a John Papa video and some blog entries showing best practices.

The DomainDataSource is really good at creating a screen that only edits a single entity, anything more complicated then that and it quickly causes more problems than it is worth.

thanks colin, i really appreciate your help .

in my app i have several screens and fortunally each screen display and edit only one entity at once,

so i will continue with the domain DS for the moment , but i will study john papa recommendations and yours  for sure :) !!!!
